Ripple Brief

Teleprompter, speech timer & talk length tools

Privacy

The short version: what you type stays in your browser.

What you type

Every tool works in your browser. Your teleprompter script, the text you paste to count, the speaker names and times in the timer log and your slide plans are never sent to Ripple Brief or anyone else. Apart from loading the site's own files, the pages make no network requests; the one exception is the page-view count described below.

What is stored on your device

Some things are saved in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time, on the device you are using only: your light or dark theme choice, the teleprompter script and its settings, your pace on the speech length page, the speech timer's settings and your slide plan. They are never uploaded. The timer's log of speakers is not stored at all; it disappears when you reload the page. Clear on the teleprompter and Clear all on the planner remove what they hold, as does clearing this site's data in your browser settings. On a shared computer, clear them when you are done.

Fullscreen, wake lock and sound

Fullscreen and keeping the screen awake are browser features that need no permission and share nothing. The optional chime on the speech timer is made on your device. Ripple Brief never asks for your microphone or camera.

Cookies, accounts and ads

There are none. There is no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking across other sites.

Page-view counts

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our host Cloudflare adds to each page, to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools.

Links to other sites

Pages link to a source, to sister sites and to two recommended services, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.
